Extraordinary circumstances are the conditions – beyond the control of airlines. If the flight delay or cancellation was caused due to extraordinary circumstances, there’s no compensation as such circumstances are beyond airlines’ control.
Examples of extraordinary circumstances include bad weather conditions, natural disasters, political unrest, a threat to the safety of the flight or passengers, or a passenger falling ill, etc.
