Know When You’re Eligible for Flight Compensation
You could be entitled to claim up to 600€ EU flight delay compensation under EC Regulation 261/2004 if your flight is delayed for more than three hours or canceled without prior notice. No compensation if any exceptional circumstances were involved, and the airlines weren’t responsible for the delay or cancellation.
The rule says that the flight should have been delayed for more than 3 hours at the final destination.
Your flight should have either departed from EU airport or landed at EU airport booked with EU regulated airline.
You may be eligible for compensation under EU law for flight cancellations without prior notice.
It’s a little complicated, as the compensation amount may be reduced to 50% based on specific facts.
We are here to help you understand your rights and get back the money airlines owe you.
You are also eligible for compensation if you were denied boarding due to overbooking.
Overbooking is a situation in which you bought a flight ticket but are then told that there are no vacant seats.
In the aviation industry, overbooking is an oversold flight in the sense that there is not a seat for every sold ticket.
