Stress Free Travel: new apps for globetrotters
Packpoint – Have you packed everything?
The Packpoint app helps you create an easy-to-use list of things you need to pack for your next trip. It not only takes your reason for travelling and the weather conditions at your destination into account but also whether or not you’re travelling with children, whether you’re planning any special activities or you simply want to travel light with just a few basics. If you’re travelling with a group of people, you can even share your list with them via email, text message, Twitter or Facebook. Android and iOS versions available for free.
Everplaces – Insider tips for your trip
Waze – Real-time traffic and road info
Chefs Feed – Top chefs favourite eats
The Chefs Feed app is perfect for those of you who appreciate great food but don’t know exactly where to find it while on your travels. The app lists not only the favourite restaurants and cafés of great chefs but also their favourite dishes. You can also search for places according to chef, cuisine or dish. Unfortunately, the only destinations covered at the moment are London, Canada and numerous US cities, but you do have the opportunity to suggest a new town or city and new locations are expected to be added soon. Android and iOS versions available for free.
